Former Dinuba man sentenced to prison for child porn

Superior Court Judge Harry Papadakis Tuesday sentenced 55-year-old Anthony Wayne Fredericks of Berkeley and formerly of Dinuba to two years in state prison for one count of possessing matter depicting minors engaged in sexual conduct.

Fredericks previously pleaded no contest to the charge on March 4. At the time of his plea, Fredericks also admitted that he suffered a prior conviction for possession of child pornography in 2001 out of San Jose.

The defendant will be mandated to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.

Under California law, Fredericks could not be charged with separate counts for each individual image he possessed. Fredericks was also ordered to pay $900 in fines and will be placed on parole upon finishing his prison sentence.
