B Street blaze damages vacant home

City and county firefighters responded to a fire in a vacant home on the 300 block of South B Street Friday night around 9 p.m.

Damage from the fire was limited mostly to the structure’s interior, and officials believe no one was inside the building at the time of the blaze. The cause of the fire was not immediately apparent. An investigation team was on scene following mop-up efforts, and a report will be issued over the weekend. Look for additional details in Monday’s edition of The Recorder.
