Dia De Los Muertos is a Mexican holiday that focuses on gathering family and friends to remember loved ones who have died. An important part of this tradition is to honor the dead with sugar skulls, marigolds, and colorful cut paper flags.
The event will allow families to create crafts such as masks and paper flowers and purchase handmade items including ceramic wares made at Imagines’ studios.
Refreshments, including Pan de Muertos and hot chocolate, will be served, or try your luck in the cake walk. The entertainment will include Mariachi Academy, Folkloric and Aztec Dancers.
Imagine Community Arts Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and exhibiting the visual arts and is located at 250 N. Main St. Porterville.
