Man fatally shot in Pixley

A man who apparently was in an argument with another man was fatally shot about 3 p.m. Thursday in Pixley.

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Department has not released the name of the victim and no arrests have been made.

According to the sheriff’s department, detectives learned the victim was standing on the property when he became involved in a verbal altercation with a subject who was seated in a vehicle. Shots were fired from the vehicle and the vehicle fled the scene.

The shooting occurred in the 600 block of South Main in Pixley. Upon arrival, deputies located a Hispanic, male adult deceased, just off the roadway near the north east corner of Main and Compton.
