Activity slows down on area farms

With the exception of the navel and mandarin orange harvests, activity on area farms has slowed for the winter months, the Tulare County Agricultural Commissioner’s office reported.

Dry land grains have benefitted from the recent rains, with some crops already more than a foot tall.

There are also some winter vegetable crops growing in the county.
