Alleged spouse abuse in Earlimart leads to arrest

EARLIMART — A woman was arrested Sunday after an investigation into alleged spousal abuse.
Tulare County sheriff’s deputies were called at a little after 9 p.m. to the 600 block of East Bobbi Avenue to investigate a disturbance.
Maria Manjarrez allegedly hit the victim several times with a belt, causing visible injuries, the Sheriff’s Department reports. The victim’s name was not released.
Manjarrez was booked at the Bob Wiley Detention Facility on suspicion of spousal abuse.
