3 women arrested in drug bust, infant placed with CWS
TULARE — Three women are in custody and a 2-week-old infant has been placed with Child Welfare Services after a two-week narcotics investigation.
On Tuesday, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Division, along with the Inter-Agency Narcotics Task Force, made up of Lindsay and Exeter police and personnel from the Sheriff’s Tactical Enforcement Personnel (STEP) team, concluded the investigation by serving three search warrants in the 800 and 1300 blocks of South K Street.
The sheriff’s department said detectives secured the homes and detained three people. During a search of the residences, detectives reportedly found approximately 8 grams of methamphetamine, 3 grams of cocaine, drug paraphernalia and drug-packaging material.
The three women, identified as Terry Perez, April Nicole Salcidia and Sharon Janet Armstrong were arrested, transported and booked into the Bob Wiley Detention Facility. All three were booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sales, possession of a controlled substance, and maintaining a place for selling any controlled substance.
Salcidia was additionally booked on suspicion of child endangerment.
The case is under investigation.
