Crime blotter 1/9/13
Information below is provided to The Recorder by the Porterville Police Department. It is noted that only arrests are reported and the suspects have not been found guilty of any crime.

Burglary
Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of South A Street regarding a burglary to a shed. The victim stated that subject(s) forced entry into his locked shed. Once inside, the subject(s) took 12 Pacific Pulmonary Services cast aluminum oxygen tanks.
Minor Injury Traffic Collision
Officers responded to Hwy 65 north of Scranton regarding an injury traffic collision. Driver-1 was northbound on Hwy 65 when a vehicle ahead of him suddenly stopped. Driver-1 was able to stop but Driver-2, who was directly behind him, was unable to stop in time and rear-ended Driver-1. Driver-2 ran off of the roadway and down the embankment after the initial impact. Driver-2 complained of pain to her chest from the seatbelt but declined medical treatment at the scene.
Injury Traffic Collision
Officers responded to the intersection of Indiana Street and Devon Avenue for an injury traffic collision. Driver-1 was northbound on Indiana Street when Driver-2, who was southbound on Indiana Street, turned left onto Devon Avenue directly in front of Driver-1. Driver-1 was unable to stop in time and they collided. Driver-2 complained of pain to her left shoulder and arm and was transported to Sierra View District Hospital by ambulance for treatment. Driver-1 complained of pain to her right knee but declined medical treatment at the scene. Two passengers in Driver-1’s vehicle complained of pain to their chest areas, possibly due to seatbelts, but declined medical treatment at the scene.
Non-Injury Traffic Collision
Officers responded to the 200 block of North E Street regarding a non-injury traffic collision. Driver-1 was northbound on E Street when Driver-2 pulled out of a parking lot and struck Driver-1’s vehicle. Neither person was injured but Driver-2’s driver’s license was suspended. Driver-2 was cited and her vehicle was impounded.
Felony Warrant Arrest
Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of West Julieann regarding a verbal argument. While on scene, Daniel Carranza (34yrs) was contacted and had one active felony warrant. Carranza was arrested and booked at the substation.
