Independance celebration set for Sept. 15.

PORTERVILLE

Comision Honorifica Mexicana-Americana, Inc. will be celebrating Mexican Independence Sept. 15 at the CHMA Community and Conference Center, 466 E. Putnam Ave.
Festivities begin at 5 p.m. with a No-host Cultural Exhibit, a traditional mole dinner by Mestizo Grill and dinner music by El Charrito slated from 6 to 7 p.m.

The inaugural Youth Heritage Award will also be presented. Dancing to DJ Rey begins at 7 p.m.
The Comision is also looking for items of historical significance for its cultural exhibit — including traditional clothing, pictures and other items.
Pre-Sale dinner-dance tickets are available at $25 a person in advance or $30 at the door.

Dance only tickets are $10.
