recorder@portervillerecorder.com

Tulare County Association of Government is inviting students to participate in the 2012 “Make a Difference in Air Quality” essay, poster and video contest.

Posters must be on an 8.5-by-11-inch, landscape, white piece of paper. Essays should be one to two pages and videos one to two minutes in length.

“Make a Difference” entries should demonstrate how a person can help improve the air — whether by car pooling, riding a bicycle to practice, or skateboarding to the park — in Tulare County. Prizes include bicycles and a Kindle Fire.

One bike will be awarded to the winner of each grade group, kindergarten to third grade, fourth and fifth grade, sixth through eighth grade and high school.

Drawings, essays and videos should be uploaded to www.tularecog.org/contest or mailed to TCAG, 210 N. Church St., Suite B, Visalia, CA 93291.

All entries should include name, address, school, grade and phone number.

The contest is open to all students in Tulare County, kindergarten to 12th grade.

Deadline for the contest is Dec. 21.

Visit www.tularecog.org for more information.
