Man eludes deputies, considered armed and dangerous
Deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department are looking for Daryl Austin Young, who is considered armed and dangerous.
The incident began at 12:43 a.m. Friday when deputies responded to the 800 block of South Indiana Street to search for a suspect in a home invasion.
Upon arriving, deputies found Young standing at the doorway holding a small Luger-style handgun.
Deputies maintained cover, eventually discharging an electronic stun gun, striking Young.
Young fell to the ground but as deputies approached, he fired a single round, striking a cabinet near the front entryway.
A standoff ensued, with Young ultimately escaping out a rear window and fleeing the area.
Law enforcement personnel were unharmed during the incident.
