CSET offers free business counseling workshops
Community Services Employment Training (CSET) is offering free business counseling services to residents of Porterville, Tulare and Visalia. Group workshops and one-on-one counseling are available.
Through CSET’s free business counseling program, entrepreneurs will learn how to start and successfully manage a small business. Topics include developing your business plan, market research, business management and the basics of business finance. Business owners can also learn about the availability of low-interest financing. he workshops and one-on-one counseling are available to aspiring entrepreneurs, especially those who are unemployed or underemployed.
“We are very excited to offer our business counseling services to Tulare County residents,” said Frank Ruiz, CSET Assistant Director of Community Initiatives. “It is our hope these free business development workshops will create additional jobs for Tulare County residents.”
Beginning October 9, a four week workshop series will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Porterville Employment Connection from 1–3 p.m. The Employment Connection is located at 1061 W. Henderson Ave., Porterville.
In Tulare and Visalia, one-on-one counseling sessions are available for entrepreneurs. The Tulare sessions begin Wednesday, October 10 at 10:30 am and will be held at the Tulare Family Resource Center, located at 115 E. Tulare Ave., Tulare.
In Visalia, sessions begin October 10 at 2 p.m. and will be held at the Visalia Employment Connection, located at 4025 W. Noble Ave.
