Crime Blotter 02/12/13
Information below is provided to The Recorder by the Porterville Police Department. It is noted that only arrests are reported and the suspects have not been found guilty of any crime.
Tuesday, Feb. 12
Vandalism / Violation of Domestic Violence Restraining Order
Officers responded to the 1000 block of North Stonegate Cove regarding the ex-boyfriend of the caller forcing entry into her apartment. Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect, Everisto Vasquez, 30, had damaged a window and fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival. An active restraining order was in effect with the victim as the protected party. Vasquez has not yet been located and is being sought by police.
Warrant Arrest
Officers contacted Andrew Whitbey, 33, and he had four outstanding traffic warrants, all out of Kern County. He was arrested and processed at the PD.
Warrant Arrest
Officers conducted a traffic stop at Highway 190 and Main Street. The driver, Scott Benedict, 28, had a misdemeanor warrant and was arrested. Benedict was processed at the PD.
Auto Theft
Officers responded to the Sequoia Motel regarding a stolen vehicle. The vehicle in question was stored the night before after the driver, Jaida Enriquez, 24, was arrested during a traffic stop. The victim stated Enriquez did not have permission to drive the vehicle and additional charges were filed against her. Enriquez was still in custody at Bob Wiley regarding felony drug charges.
Warrant Arrest
Officers contacted Monica Camacho, 40, at her residence regarding a misdemeanor arrest warrant. Camacho was arrested and processed at the PD.
Warrant Arrest
Officers contacted Erika Ceballos, 25, at her residence regarding an outstanding warrant. Ceballos was cited and released from the scene on a misdemeanor warrant for city ordinance violations.
Warrant Arrest
Officers contacted Jacob Garza, 18, at a residence in the 600 block of South Chess Terrace regarding a warrant. Garza was cited and released.
Warrant Arrest
Officers made a traffic stop on Henderson Avenue at Cottage Street and contacted Caywood Roberts, 35. He had a warrant out of Fresno County. He was arrested and processed at the PD.
Warrant Arrest
Officers made a traffic stop at Prospect Street and Henderson Avenue. A passenger in the vehicle, Shyann McGee, 21, had four warrants and was arrested. She was booked at Bob Wiley.
Possession of Methamphetamine / Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia / Prohibited Possession of Weapon / Felony Warrants
Officers responded to a residence in the 1200 block of North Ohio Street for a felony warrant service. Leann Johnson, 24, was contacted and had an arrest warrant for possession of methamphetamine. Officers also contacted Ricardo Cid, 30, who also had a warrant for theft. During a search of Cid, officers located methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a taser. Cid is a convicted felon and prohibited to possess a stun gun. Both were booked into county jail
DUI
Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of South Plano Street. Driver, Juan Figueroa, 26, was determined to be intoxicated and was arrested for DUI.
Felony Warrant Arrest
Officers contacted Tuktaa Khounsy, 34, who had a felony warrant for narcotics. She was booked at Bob Wiley Detention Facility.
