A Porterville man and former Tulare County employee has been arrested for allegedly filing a fraudulent workers’ compensation claim.

On Friday, investigators from the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office arrested 52-year-old Michael D. Maloney on a $10,000 bail felony warrant. Maloney was booked into jail at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department Porterville Substation and was later transferred to the Main Jail.

The district attorney reports Maloney was wanted for allegedly filing a fraudulent workers’ compensation claim, with a total alleged loss to date of about $25,185.
