County supervisors to elect new chairman

The Tulare County Board of Supervisors is set to elect a new chairman and vice chairman for 2013 at its first meeting of the year.

Supervisors Allen Ishida, Pete Vander Poel and Phil Cox will also be sworn in by Tulare County Judge Lloyd Hicks.

The board will also make several appointments to various boards and committees, review a slim consent calendar, and consider a request by the district attorney to delete an existing investigator aide position and add a victim witness worker position to be assigned to the D.A.’s Victim Offender Reconciliation Program.

The meeting will take place at 9 a.m. Tuesday, in the County Administration Building, 2800 W. Burrel Ave. in Visalia.
