September activities for First Congregational

PORTERVILLE

The First Congregational Church at 165 E. Mill Ave. will observe Rally Sunday on Sept. 9. The 10:30 a.m. worship service led by Pastor Eby will be held in the church’s historical sanctuary.

The various groups within the membership will have a chance to share their missions and goals.

Adult Bible study will be held each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. and again on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Choir rehearsal will be at 8:30 a.m. on Sundays.

A matinee movie will be held at 1 p.m. Sept. 12 in the church fireplace room . The classic film “The Snows of Kilimanjaro” will be shown, complete with popcorn. This event is free.
