Concealed weapon found during stop

A routine patrol after 6 p.m. Monday in the area of Holcomb Street and Tyler Avenue in Porterville resulted in the discovery of a man carrying a concealed weapon.

Tulare County SheriffÂ’s Department deputies stopped Anthony Martinez, 20, who was reportedly carrying a concealed short-barreled shotgun.

Anthony was arrested, taken to the Porterville substation and booked on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon.

The case was under investigation.
