recorder@portervillerecorder.com

Porterville College has extended the application period for those still interested in becoming spring semester community education instructors.

Community education courses are designed to meet the needs of the community. These are non-credit classes offered in addition to the college’s academic program. These courses are designed to provide learning and enjoyment in a friendly, worry-free environment.

These courses include vocational skills or professional development.

If you are interested in developing and teaching a community education course, complete and return a class proposal form, which can be found at www.portervillecollege.edu/community_ed. Past classes have featured such topics as: the arts, home and garden maintenance, special certifications and physical education.

For more information, contact Diane Thompson, Career and Technical Education program manager at 791-2282 or dithomps@portervillecollege.edu.
