RAC agrees on application to use for proposals
The Kern and Tulare Counties Resource Advisory Committee met for the third time last Thursday at the Doubletree Inn in Bakersfield.
The RAC, a citizens committee formed to help determine how Forest Service funds are to be spent, discussed several items.
It approved a set of bylaws, as well as some expenditures for overhead, and agreed on an application to use when a proposal is submitted.
The funds being discussed fall under Title II for Fiscal Year 2010 money, which is available for projects on National Forest System Lands.
The committee will next meet at 5 p.m. Aug. 26 at the Sequoia National Forest Headquarters in Porterville to talk about the criteria that will be used when proposals are submitted.
