Theft results in loss of $450

TERRA BELLA — The theft of coins and a coin box from an air pump were reported to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department deputies around 9 a.m. Thursday.
In response, deputies were dispatched to 9246 Road 236, where the theft reportedly occurred.
Jeff McGowen of the Air Service Group said that sometime between Oct. 29, 2007 and Feb. 21, an unknown suspect broke the lock of the company's coin-operated air machine and then removed the change and coin box from the inside, the Sheriff's Department reports.
He said the coin box was worth $50 and contained $350 in quarters.
The total loss and damage was estimated at $450.
