DA Phil Cline announces retirement

Tulare County District Attorney Phil Cline, who has served as DA for the last 20 years, announced Monday that he will retire from office on Dec. 15, the day after his 65th birthday.

Cline will appear in front of the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday to formally inform the Board of his intent to retire.  

"I have been honored to serve the citizens of Tulare County as their District Attorney for the last 20 years. It is with mixed feelings that I retire from a position that has been at the center of my life for so long. However, it has been a long time dream of mine to retire on my 65th birthday," he said in a statement
