Former Porterville man arrested on child porn charges

THE PORTERVILLE RECORDER

A former Porterville man identified by police as Adam Guillen, 32, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of possessing child pornography.

According to the Porterville Police Department, officers responded to a home in the 1600 block of West Grand Avenue Saturday. There, the homeowner turned over a suitcase containing possible child pornography said to belong to a previous resident.

During the investigation, detectives obtained a search warrant to inspect the contents of the suitcase, and located numerous images of confirmed child pornography inside, the PPD reports.

Detectives were able to determine that the suitcase and its contents belonged to Guillen, who recently moved to San Juan Bautista.

With the help of the San Benito County Sheriff’s Department, Guillen was located and arrested at his residence.

Guillen was booked into the custody of the San Benito County Jail where he is being held in lieu of $850,000 bail.
