Ducor woman arrested in child physical abuse case

DUCOR — A South County woman is in jail after allegedly abusing a young boy.

Tulare County Sheriff’s Department detectives received a call at about 11 a.m. Thursday about suspected physical abuse against 4-year-old boy at a confidential address in Ducor.

Detectives contacted the child and Nieblas Aspen about the alleged abuse and took her into custody, the Sheriff's Department reports.

The child reportedly displayed visible signs of physical abuse.

Aspen, whose age was not released, was booked into the Bob Wiley Detention Facility on suspicion of child abuse, unlawful corporal punishment and child neglect. Her bail was set at $50,000.

The case will be turned over to the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office for further review.
