CHP announces DUI checkpoint

PORTERVILLE

The California Highway Patrol will hold a DUI checkpoint from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday in the Porterville area.

The checkpoint will be staffed by officers trained in the detection of alcohol or drug impaired drivers. Hand-held breath testing devices to test blood alcohol concentration will be used.

The CHP did not announce the location.
