19-year-old accused of shooting gun at traveling car
Police arrested a 19-year-old Porterville man accused of firing a gun at a car as it was traveling down Main Street Friday.
The Porterville Police Department reports that at approximately 12:40 a.m. Friday, officers contacted Kyler Redwine during a traffic stop.
A short time later, a victim reported that someone had brandished a gun and fired it, striking their car which was traveling on Main Street, in downtown Porterville, the PPD reports.
The suspect and the car description matched that of Redwine and the car he had been driving.
Officers were led to Redwine’s home, where they found a rifle and arrested him.
Redwine was arrested and booked at the Sheriff’s substation on suspicion of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.
