EARLIMART — Someone broke into a vehicle early Friday morning and stole a stereo and other items.

Carlos Solorio reported the theft at 12:32 a.m., at which time Tulare County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 1200 block of East Washington Street.

Solorio said someone smashed the driver’s side window of his vehicle and stole the stereo and other items from the trunk, authorities report. The incident reportedly occurred at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

Solorio estimates the value of the items to be about $725.
