A 33-year-old Porterville man was arrested Thursday after he reportedly drove by another man’s home, pointed a gun at him and drove away, the Porterville Police Department reports.

Officers responded to the alleged victim’s residence around 11 a.m. but the suspect, identified as Serjio Macias, had left the scene before they arrived, the PPD reports.

Police say Macias later returned to the area in a car while officers were still on scene.

He was taken into custody without incident.

A passenger in Macias’ vehicle, identified as 33-year-old Rosa Avalos, was also arrested. Police say Avalos had multiple felony arrest warrants.

Macias was reportedly in possession of a stolen .45 caliber handgun and ammunition, suspected methamphetamine and was driving on a suspended driver’s license, the PPD reports.

Macias, a previously convicted felon, had a warrant for his arrest for violation of probation.

Both suspects were booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department, Porterville substation.

Macias is being held in lieu of $35,000 bail and Avalos in lieu of $100,000 bail for her arrest warrants.
