Identity theft leaves Terra Bella man with huge bill

TERRA BELLA — A victim of identity theft discovered someone used his name to get a cell phone only after receiving a collection notice stating he owed $1,407.93 for an outstanding cell phone bill.

Casey Daniel Pace, 27, located in the 24500 block of Avenue 36, reported the crime at about 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The crime occurred sometime between Jan. 9 and Feb. 5 somewhere in Los Angeles County, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department reports.

No arrests have been made in the case.
