Detectives eradicate 2,907 marijuana plants in Badger

BADGER — Marijuana plants with an estimated street value of $11,628,000 were reportedly found at an illegal cultivation site in Badger on Friday.

Tulare County detectives from the Sheriff Tactical Enforcement Personnel Team investigated the grow site and found two suspects tending the plants.

Suspects Humberto Sanchez Balmalera, 39, and Manuel Sanchez Balmalera, 31, reportedly began to run. Detectives apprehended them in the area of Highway 245 between Dry Creek Road and Drum Valley Road where the site was located. Both suspects were arrested on suspicion of cultivation of marijuana.
