Information below is provided to The Recorder by the Porterville Police Department. It is noted that only arrests are reported and the suspects have not been found guilty of any crime.

Wanted suspect arrested for Burglary / Criminal Threats / Conspiracy
Officers were in the 800 block of West Morton Avenue when Robert Meeks was observed walking in the area. Meeks was wanted by PPD regarding a prior case. Meeks was arrested and booked at the Tulare County Substation.
Felony Warrants
Officers were in the area of the 500 block of West Putnam Avenue when the driver of White Ford Escape was recognized as Norman Barrios. Barrios had one felony warrant for his arrest and was stopped and arrested without incident. Barrios was booked at the Tulare County substation.
Violation of a Domestic Violence Restraining Order and Felony Warrants
Officers responded to the 300 block of East Chase Avenue regarding suspicious circumstances. The report was regarding a male walking in the roadway with a 4 month old child. Officers began checking the area for the male and located him at Plano Street and Chase Avenue. Arnold Verdugo, who was holding his 4 month old child, had felony warrants for his arrest and PPD Communications also determined that a domestic violence restraining order was in place protecting the 4 month old from having contact with Verdugo. The child was released to the mother at the scene and Verdugo was arrested without incident for the warrants and the charge of violation of a domestic violence restraining order. Verdugo was booked at the Tulare County substation.
Warrant Arrest
Officers responded to the area of Putnam Avenue and Prospect Street regarding a welfare check of a suspicious female in the area. Officers located the female walking in the area of Prospect Street and Morton Avenue. The female, Janet Pugh (72yrs), had four warrants for her arrest. Pugh was arrested without incident and later booked at Bob Wiley Detention Facility.
Warrant Arrest
Officers contacted Adam Pritchard, 8, in the 800 block of West Henderson Avenue. He had a warrant for his arrest and was booked at TCSO.
Warrant Arrest
Officers contacted Jose Alvarado, 28, during a traffic stop at Henderson Avenue and Kensington Street. He had a warrant for his arrest. He was booked at PPD and released on cite to appear.
