Terra Bella man attacked at Lake Success

A man was attacked at Lake Success at about midnight Saturday.

According to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department, Luis Gomez of Terra Bella reported that Jesse Velasquez of Porterville assaulted him, punched him and attempted to stab him with a knife. Gomez suffered injuries to his face but refused medical treatment.

Deputies talked to Gomez at the scene and obtained a statement from him.

The case has been forwarded to the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office.
