Man sought in armed robberies
A man suspected of holding up a mini-mart in Poplar and a recycling business in Earlimart is being sought by the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department.
Detectives have identified the man as Luis Casillas of Delano. The 26-year-old man is described as a Hispanic male, 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
According to the TCSD, the man first held up the recycling business at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
He held up the Poplar Mini Mart at Avenue 144 and Road 192 about 30 minutes later.
In both robberies, he man brandished a firearm and demanded money. No one was injured in either holdup.
