Annual Business Expo tonight

The Porterville Chamber of Commerce’s 13th Annual Business Showcase and Taste of Porterville will be held today at the Porterville Fairgrounds on West Teapot Dome Avenue.

Over 500 people are expected at the networking, business promotion, that highlights both local businesses and restaurants. More than 70 door prize drawings, and a sampling of foods from the community’s  member restaurants are on tap for this year’s event.

The business expo booths will provide members the opportunity to promote and showcase their products.

Through the years, the Business Showcase & Taste of Porterville outgrew two previous locations, and now makes great use of the generous Exhibit Hall space at the fairgrounds.

Seventy-five booths will be set-up both inside and out, with some providing new and unique displays this year, including a full-size airplane.

The businesses scheduled to feature their food specialties include: Black Bear Diner, Crave Café and Bakery, Dickey’s BBQ Pit, Eagle Mountain Casino, Giovanni’s Pizzeria, Hoagie’s Heroes, Mom’s U-Bake Pizza, Nuckols Ranch, Pizza Factory, Sierra Hills, Stafford’s Famous Chocolates and Walmart Distribution Center.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a plentiful supply of business cards, network, eat, win and stay late.

The Business Showcase runs 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and is open to the business public. Cost at the door for chamber member is $5. The non-member cost is $10.

For more information, contact the Chamber at 784-7502.
