County animal shelter offers reduced holiday fee

The Tulare County Animal Control Shelter is offering a special St. Patrick’s Day adoption promotion that includes reducing adoption fees by $20.  

Until March 20, dogs and cats that have come into the shelter already spayed or neutered will cost $10 to adopt. All adoptions include a free wellness visit, a bag of dog or cat food, and a leash or cat carrier.

Besides shelter animals available for adoption, there will be many dogs and cats from foster care.

Located at 14131 Avenue 256 in Visalia, the Tulare County Animal Control Shelter will also host a special St. Patrick’s Day Animal Adoption Event between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. March 20.

For those unable to bring a pet home, but would like to support the work of the shelter, donations of canned pet food, toys, beds, leashes, and collars are among items being collected.
