THE PORTERVILLE RECORDER

ALPAUGH — More than $500 worth of tools were stolen from a tool closet in the Alpaugh Unified School District bus warehouse.

Tulare County Sheriff’s detectives were dispatched Thanksgiving Day to the school’s bus warehouse in the 5000 block of Road 39 in Alpaugh. Upon further investigation it was determined that someone had broken into the warehouse sometime between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday and took a tool bag with various tools from their tool closet.

The school district estimates the total loss to be approximately $515 and the total property damage to be approximately $50.

The case is under investigation by the Sheriff's Department.
