Elexis Aldaco — Citrus High School

Elexis Aldaco from Citrus High is the Rotary Club Student of the month for March.

Aldaco has lived in Porterville since kindergarten after moving from Terra Bella. He lives with his mother, Christina Alvarado, a brother and two sisters.

When not in school, he enjoys installing sound systems, restoring cars and making “low rider” bikes and participating in car shows throughout the area. The bike he built for himself has consistently been a winner at the shows. Because of his love of working on cars, Aldaco plans to develop the knowledge and skills for specialty painting and detailing so he can eventually go into business for himself. He spends his time focusing on schoolwork so he can return to and graduate from Granite Hills High School.

Aldaco is also a football fan and closely follows the Cowboys.

He was chosen as the student of the month because of the “tremendous progress towards graduation” he has accomplished, school officials said, and for his mature decisions regarding his current schooling and future plans.
