Alarm stymies would-be burglar

SPRINGVILLE — Michael Blevins, 55, reported an attempted burglary to authorities Friday at 9:58 a.m.

Police initially responded to a report of a burglar alarm on the 41000 block of Bear Creek Road.

They subsequently discovered someone had forcibly entered an exterior room at Blevins’ residence.

Blevins reported that no items were missing at the time of the report.
