Error in story, October 2010, Pet of the Year.

Dakota Red Hawk was the pick of the litter, not the last puppy. I know it’s been a year, but  always bothered me. Matthew O’Reilly was the last puppy. They all went to great homes in one Saturday except the last one I neared Matthew O’Reilly. He plopped down and made himself at home in our bathroom. I twas so funny. I laughed so hard I named him.

I gave him a bath, dusted him with flea powder and 9 p.m. came and the phone rang. The people called and wanted a puppy for their other baby. Two babies, one puppy. He got a great home.

I asked everyone who took them to please take them to the vet immediately and always and forever. To put them on a leash, have a good fenced, safe back yard or patio, to get their shots, etc.
