MEN’S BASKETBALL
COMPTON 104, PC 51
Porterville coach T.J. Jennings several players were sent home early after Friday’s game against East Los Angeles College for a violation of team rules, so PC had just nine players against Compton. Miguel Perez did go 5-of-8 from three-point range in scoring 20 points and Dominic Avila added eight points for PC.

Jennings said his team should be at full strength when it next plays in the College of the Sequoias Tournament, but things won’t get any easier as the Pirates will open with state power Ventura on Friday.
