PC men's and women's basketball fall

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
SAN JOSE 63, PC 42
Despite struggling from the floor and the foul line, Porterville College trailed just 36-33 with seven minutes left in the game before San Jose City pulled away at the Fresno Tournament. PC trailed 25-19 at halftime.

Porterville was 15-of-48 from the floor and 10-of-32 from the line. Katrina Goulbourne scored 10 points, Destiny Zarate had eight points, Maribel Bravo had six points, six rebounds and three assists and Jackie Padron added three assists and six rebounds for the Pirates.

EAST L.A. 67, PC 50
Porterville College trailed 51-47 with three minutes left before East Los Angeles pulled away. “We were battling,” PC coach T.J. Jennings said. “We were right there. We just continue to shoot ourselves in the foot.”

Ivory Easley scored 15 points, Elijah Henningham had 12 points and Tyrone Hall and Eric Moore each added six points for PC.
