Enjoyed column
Editor,
Re: Clinton Osborne column. I enjoyed your article about the wood stove. I have an identical stove in a cabin my grandparents built. It is located near the top of Greenhorn Mountain, above Glenville. The stove is a Home comfort with the date plate of 1915. It has the hot water coil in the firebox, and the water system still functions. From the photo, your stove has better nickel plating than mine.
In 2008 I had to have the oven liner replaced. I had Jason at American Inc. (Visalia) fabricate the liner from black steel. He got the upper curve perfect. I have always used the stove up there, the cabin was originally built around 1926.
It’s interesting to see another one around.
