Spay and neuter
Spay and neuter
Editor,
Let’s please bring back South County Paws section in the paper. Please.
Recently you have not put the Paws insert in the Tuesday paper. I as well as others are very upset. The reason being is it is so important because it shows pictures of all the docs lost and ones that are up for adoption. It also shows a coupons for spay/neuter donations or (your choice) microchipping.
I choose spay/neuter, it’s extremely important to reduce the number of animals being born that nobody wants. They get dumped off or dropped off at the pound or given away for free at Walmart, etc.
I always ask these people to tell people, are you going to give this animal a forever home? With veterinary care, shots, license, spay/neuter and abide by the leash law, feed properly and keep them until they pass away. Please make sure you can work something out with a veterinarian to afford their health care needs.
Many pets are just given away to just anybody and never known how they will be cared for or be spayed or neutered.
Pet over population is a major problem and concern in this county and city. There are so many pets, too many that they get dumped off anywhere or euthanized.
This is very sad and a waste of a precious god given life.
The programs are:
1. Spay/Neuter
2. Microchipping
You have a choice of whom to donate to.
Again, please, I want to emphasize the extreme importance of spaying and neutering. Stop pet overpopulation now and forever.
