Soccer field lights

My son has soccer practice at the Sports Complex twice a week. I noticed during practice that there are probably a few hundred people out there every evening.

As the summer fades into fall, the nights come quicker  and it is very dark out there. I am not only concerned  about the young children out playing in the field, but  also the parking lot. It seems to me that the city said something about getting lights...and even getting a deal on these so-called lights....that are only in the football field.

I am sure the soccer players and parents are not happy about this. Whatever happened to the lights that were supposed to line the entire field? Do we have to wait until someone, God forbid, a child gets hurt?
