OSHA regulations
Editor,
While I find the mural project on the Bank of the Sierra, a great addition to the city, Steven Ball and the Bank of the Sierra are obviously unaware of some basic OSHA safety requirements. A “Personal Fall Arrest System” must be worn and attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift. This information is available in 29 CFR 1926 OSHA Construction Industry Regulations.
I have seen painters and others in lifts throughout the city not protected. These folks don’t work for me, so I will just pass on the info. The cost of a fall will make the $10,000 paint cost look like lunch at Mickey D’s.
