Orange Belt soccer ready to kick off postseason

Central Valley postseason soccer is under way, beginning with the girls on Tuesday.
The Porterville Panthers drew the No. 7 seed and will play Hanford West in the Div. III bracket.
Lindsay’s girls also earned the seventh seed and will host No. 10 Firebaugh in Div. V play.
The vaunted Strathmore girls captured the No. 1 spot in Div. VI and Exeter (No. 4, Div. IV) each take a bye Tuesday. Exeter will begin its postseason on Thursday while Strathmore gets its start on Feb. 24.
Playoffs for the boys start Wednesday.
The Panthers boys’ squad may be feeling a little slighted by their No. 3 placement after racking up 26 wins this year. They’ll get a bye and play the winner of No. 6 Foothill and No. 11 Mira Monte on Friday.
Lindsay’s boys nabbed the No. 2 seed in the Div. V bracket and also get a bye. The Cardinals await the winner of No. 7 Riverdale and No. 10 Orosi.
Exeter’s boys earned the No. 9 seed and a date with No. 8 Shafter on Wednesday.
All games are slated to start at 6 p.m.
