Brazile Watch: A win in the steer roping at the Pioneer Days Rodeo in Clovis, N.M., and a third-place check in the calf roping at the Beef Empire Days Rodeo in Garden City, Ka., produced earnings of $5,113 this weekend for Trevor Brazile. The 16-time world champion continues to lead the all-around ($83,456) and steer roping ($34,962) world standings and is sixth among team roping headers ($31,602) and 27th in the calf roping ($16,893).
The trip to Clovis turned out doubly sweet for the Braziles with Trevor’s wife, Shada, winning the barrel racing title there with a time of 17.46 seconds. It was the second time the couple has won titles at the same rodeo, having done so in Sinton, Texas, in February (Trevor won the steer roping there, too). Shada Brazile also competed in the Barrel Race at the Springville Sierra Rodeo.

COYOTES OF THE WEEK
— President Obama made an apparent sex joke at an LGBT fundraiser in Los Angeles regarding his wife, Michelle, and a push-up contest with Ellen de Generes. Not fit to print here. —
— Who says organized labor has lost its clout? Unionized cafeteria workers in a western Pennsylvania school district can now chow down on expired food for free — as long as they do so at their own risk, according to an agreement reached between the workers and the district this week. The American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees filed a grievance against the Sharpsville Area School District last year, saying the district “violated established past practice” in charging cafeteria workers for food or drink that wasn’t sold or eaten by students. The agreement means workers are now entitled to take their chances on powdered donuts gone stale or those mouth-watering reheated tuna casseroles that can’t be served to students. MSN
— Eric Whitaker has been friends with Barack Obama ever since they pursued graduate degrees at Harvard together. Whitaker — who now runs the Urban Health Initiative (UHI) at the University of Chicago Medical Center — often vacations with the first family, is a regular golf partner of President Obama’s and has organized Chicago-area parties for when the president visits the Windy City. White House Dossier reported that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded the UHI a $5.9 million taxpayer grant. The UHI was originally inspired by a program created by Michelle Obama when she was a highly paid executive at the University of Chicago Medical Center. She was involved in creating the UHI as a means of pushing low-income Chicagoans with non-urgent ailments away from the university’s emergency room and toward neighborhood clinics. Whitaker now leads that project. Purely a coincidence.

CAMPAIGN ’12
New evidence has surfaced that shows Obama was a member of the Acorn controlled “New Party”. The New Party’s aim was to transform the United States into a European-style welfare state, with the program of Scandinavia’s social democratic parties serving as a model. He also signed a “contract” promising to publicly support and associate himself with the New Party while in office. During the 2008 campaign, BO denied this.
A new government survey shows that teenagers are now smoking more marijuana than they are smoking cigarettes. Experts say heavy pot smoking by young people impairs thinking, distorts perception, and can be a gateway to the White House. — Jay Leno
