Comments 0 | Recommend 0Dana Lynn (Rector) Behrens, a resident of Porterville and Visalia passed away on Oct. 21 2008 in Kaweah Delta hospital.
She is survived by her husband Sam Behrens; her parents Larry and Vickie Rector; her daughter Sarah Rector; her brothers Dean, Donnie, and David Rector; and of course, a loving companion Dandy (her 16-year-old Calico cat).
Dana was only 43 years old at the time she had passed. She was born in Bakersfield, CA on April 15, 1965. She was raised in Johnsondale, CA until the family moved to Porterville when she was seven years old. She graduated from Porterville High School in 1984 and continued to live in Porterville until the age 41 when her and her husband Sam decided to move to Visalia, CA.
Dana will be remembered by her family and friends as a very loving and caring person. She had a very strong faith in the Lord and she was always concerned with helping others. She was a very gifted artist and loved to display her art with her paintings, mosaic art, and what she is most commonly known for, cake decorating.
We will all remember Dana for her bright white smile and for having faith in what she believed and helping others have faith in themselves.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 28th from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Myers Chapel in Porterville. A chapel service will be held on Monday, October 27th at 1:30 p.m. at Myers Chapel. Interment will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Porterville.
Condolences may be sent to the family at www.myersfuneral.com. Myers Funeral Service & Crematory in Porterville is in charge of arrangements.
