Not for traffic circles

Editor,

Recently, I was in line at Lowe’s and overheard a nice lady say she was having lunch at Carl’s Jr. Since I often get lost in this weird lot with a “round-about” I decided to to follow her. After going around the “circle” awhile, we wound up near Highway 65. She negotiated our way back to the circle but we soon found ourselves near the river on the north side.

Several others were there and two had maps laying on their hoods and pointing and arguing. One man had a GPS unit searching and another had a compass on a tripod searching the stars for a guiding point. Late that evening, having missed lunch, we finally had dinner at Carl’s.

Moral of the story: Fellas, never follow your wife to lunch where’s there’s a circle. Now I hear one is to be put in on Highway 190 at Success Market. I live above it so I reckon it’s the bus for me now. By the way, I’d give up my last dollar to talk to the feller who drew that thing up.
