Christmas parade entry forms available

PORTERVILLE

Porterville’s Annual Children’s Christmas parade will be held downtown on Main Street at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29.  

This year’s parade theme is “Wonders of the Season”.

Registration forms for parade participants and Porterville area non-profit food vendors are now available at the Porterville Chamber of Commerce office located at 93 N. Main St. Categories for entry include religious and non-religious floats, marching bands, decorated automobile, marching organization, baton/dance group.  There is also a category for commercial entries with a cost of $40.  Various categories are judged and winners provided with cash awards and/or trophies.

The Rotary Club of Porterville, the City of Porterville, and the Porterville Chamber of Commerce have sponsored this community parade for over 50 years to kickoff the holiday season.

The deadline for parade entry registration is Nov. 8, no exceptions. For more information, contact the Chamber at 784-7502
