Chance for bike paths

Alright Porterville, we have some funding that can help improve pedestrian paths and expand on the almost nonexistent bicycle paths and lanes. Let us not throw this opportunity away.

I have to agree with the other cyclists in your Measure R article: This is a dangerous place to ride. I have a friend that rides his bike in the Bay Area, and he is afraid to ride here.

Let’s face it, this is not a bike-friendly town. However, with the few bike lanes that were put on the streets of Porterville, I have noticed more cyclists.

Financially and health wise, there are just so many positives that go with cycling. Done right, we can really take Measure R and do some great things for Porterville.
